TEXSOM Sommelier Retreat

In conjunction with the TEXSOM International Wine Awards, the TEXSOM Sommelier Retreat is a first-of-its-kind sommelier education event created to enhance engagement through the TEXSOM International Wine Awards with the entrants, submitted wines, and categories of the industry identified through entries. Participants include key sommeliers invited from across the United States, who engage in educational seminars and training exercises utilizing wine awards entrants from current and past competitions and categories of wines of notable presence in the competition; obtain guidance from well-respected editors to learn invaluable wine writing and communication skills; and, receive knowledge and skills mentorship from industry leaders and top educators. Sommelier Retreat members taste award-winning wines after judging and create expository content about award-winning wines from the sommelier perspective for feature online and in print.
