\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBarbera was one of the first wines I drank when I was beginning to understand wine as part of the food culture in Italy. In Piemonte, winemakers always said that while they drank Barolo and Barbaresco on special occasions, Barbera was on their table the most. It\u2019s easy to see why! Juicy and vivacious with notes of red berry and a solid support of acidity, plus really reasonably priced, Barbera d\u2019Asti can always fit the mood or the meal. Barbera d\u2019Asti Le Orme DOCG from Michele Chiarlo is a great example of how versatile and food-friendly this grape can be.
