Its name — when translated from German — means it’s from Vienna (that’s the “Wiener” part), yet, some insist that the preparation was brought to Austria from Italy<\/a>, where it’s still known as “Veal Milanese.” In light of this controversy, I decided to keep you on your toes and choose a wine pairing that is from neither Austria nor Italy, yet has a German-sounding name BUT is from France! Utterly confused? I hope so — it’ll stop you from thinking about how great a pairing this is (and it IS!) and just sit back and enjoy your dinner.
