And here we are today, National Chocolate Mint Day, celebrating the combined wisdom of ancient civilizations, all wrapped up in a tiny bite-size chocolate-mint. I decided to have some fun with this and tasted three different chocolate mints: Andes, Ghirardelli, and York Peppermint Patty, paired with Sequoia Grove Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. This full-bodied California Cabernet with its elegant tannins, spicy aromas, rich black cherry, hints of tobacco, and vanilla was an excellent match for the refreshing mint and dark chocolate.
