{"id":8713,"date":"2021-03-22T03:36:35","date_gmt":"2021-03-22T07:36:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wine365.com\/?p=8713"},"modified":"2021-03-15T14:39:53","modified_gmt":"2021-03-15T18:39:53","slug":"pan-seared-beef-tenderloins-with-pomegranate-pinot-noir-sauce","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wine365.com\/stage\/pan-seared-beef-tenderloins-with-pomegranate-pinot-noir-sauce\/","title":{"rendered":"Pan-Seared Beef Tenderloins with Pomegranate Pinot Noir Sauce"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Many of you may have already noticed a pattern in my various food and wine postings&#8230;French wines, French-inspired dishes, ingredients, and certainly my love for the city of Paris. <strong>Paris is famously known as <em>La Ville Lumi\u00e8re, &#8220;<\/em>the city of lights.&#8221;<\/strong> There is nothing more special than venturing out in the city just when magic hour is about hit, that fantastic hour when the sun is about to set.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"vkIF2 public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\">The best part of this time is seeing how different the historic buildings and landmarks look, the sounds of the streets, and of course, the aromas of the many culinary options that Paris has to offer. <\/span>For the foodies in all of us, you will never go wrong at most traditional Parisian <em>brasseries <\/em>(traditional French tavern-like restaurants and breweries) and the ever charming <em>bistros <\/em>(small restaurants serving home-style cooking). I often find myself <strong>meandering between these two types of restaurants<\/strong> and certainly the world renowned French <em>haute cuisine<\/em>. They all are so <em>magnifiques!<\/em><\/p>\n<div id=\"viewer-e4ap6\" class=\"XzvDs _208Ie ljrnk blog-post-text-font blog-post-text-color _2QAo- _25MYV _1Fao9 ljrnk public-DraftStyleDefault-block-depth0 public-DraftStyleDefault-text-ltr\">\n<p id=\"viewer-71bcm\" class=\"XzvDs _208Ie ljrnk blog-post-text-font blog-post-text-color _2QAo- _25MYV _1Fao9 ljrnk public-DraftStyleDefault-block-depth0 public-DraftStyleDefault-text-ltr\"><span class=\"vkIF2 public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\"><strong> In finding French-inspired dishes, I try to give it my own twist with something new.<\/strong> Interestingly enough, I also have been wanting to incorporate trending ingredients to see what the whole hype is about. Behold&#8230;the <strong>pomegranate<\/strong>. <\/span><span class=\"vkIF2 public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\">Pomegranates are jam-packed with antioxidant, vitamin C, and other numerous health benefits. Pomegranate arils<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"viewer-dnmot\" class=\"XzvDs _208Ie ljrnk blog-post-text-font blog-post-text-color _2QAo- _25MYV _1Fao9 ljrnk public-DraftStyleDefault-block-depth0 public-DraftStyleDefault-text-ltr\"><span class=\"vkIF2 public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\">Directions:<\/span><\/h2>\n<h3 id=\"viewer-6kecc\" class=\"XzvDs _208Ie ljrnk blog-post-text-font public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\">Steaks<\/span><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"_208Ie _2QAo- _25MYV _1Fao9 ljrnk\">Heat a large heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Sprinkle steaks evenly with salt and pepper.<\/li>\n<li class=\"_208Ie _2QAo- _25MYV _1Fao9 ljrnk\">Coat pan with olive oil. Add steaks to pan and cook 3 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness. Add garlic cloves, thyme, and butter. Spoon melted butter and oil mixture over steaks for 1-2 minutes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"_208Ie _2QAo- _25MYV _1Fao9 ljrnk\">Remove steaks, garlic, and thyme sprigs from pan; keep steaks warm. Later, cut steaks into half-inch slices.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 id=\"viewer-10o2a\" class=\"XzvDs _208Ie ljrnk blog-post-text-font blog-post-text-color _2QAo- _25MYV _1Fao9 ljrnk public-DraftStyleDefault-block-depth0 public-DraftStyleDefault-text-ltr\"><span class=\"vkIF2 public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\">Pomegranate-wine sauce<\/span><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"_208Ie _2QAo- _25MYV _1Fao9 ljrnk\">Add shallots to pan and saut\u00e9 30 seconds. Add wine, juice, and broth; bring to a boil. Add Dijon mustard.<\/li>\n<li class=\"_208Ie _2QAo- _25MYV _1Fao9 ljrnk\">Cook for 7 minutes or until reduced to about 3 tablespoons. Remove from heat.<\/li>\n<li class=\"_208Ie _2QAo- _25MYV _1Fao9 ljrnk\">Add butter to sauce, stirring until butter melts.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 id=\"viewer-208kf\" class=\"XzvDs _208Ie ljrnk blog-post-text-font blog-post-text-color _2QAo- _25MYV _1Fao9 ljrnk public-DraftStyleDefault-block-depth0 public-DraftStyleDefault-text-ltr\"><span class=\"vkIF2 public-DraftStyleDefault-ltr\">Roasted potatoes<\/span><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"_208Ie _2QAo- _25MYV _1Fao9 ljrnk\">Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Place potatoes, leeks, garlic, and rosemary into a large mixing bowl. Add olive oil and mix together well.<\/li>\n<li class=\"_208Ie _2QAo- _25MYV _1Fao9 ljrnk\">Place coated potato mixture onto a baking sheet. Spread potatoes and leeks out evenly. This menu should apply this method. Next to it, carefully arrange a few slices of the steak, in delicate layers.
