Altamana Grande Reserve Malbec
Happy Memorial day everyone! I hope you’re spending the day grillin’ and chillin’ outside, celebrating life and the return of the summer season! As someone of Argentinian decent, I plan my whole Memorial Day weekend around what’s cooking on the grill, wine included. Our family favorite is slow smoked ribs, corn, and grilled onions which caramelize on their grill marks. While there are many amazing wines to pair with this combination, I think a Malbec is my ultimate go-to when it comes to BBQ ribs of any kind. Altamana Grande Reserve Malbec from Maule, Chile is an intense wine that can compete with the powerful flavors our smoker creates on our juicy ribs. With great power (in flavors) comes great responsibility, so take care to match your steamy barbecue this weekend with a wine of equal intensity!

100% Malbec
Tasting Notes
Intense, lively ruby dark color. Aromas of raspberry and Morello cherry with floral notes introduce a complex palate with well rounded tannins and great balance. The finish is intense and very long.
