Louis Jadot Puligny-Montrachet La Garenne Premier Cru
If this week is any indication of how hot the rest of summer is going to be, I’m gonna need a consolation wine—chilled, fabulous, and ready to pair with summer foods. This white Burgundy from Louis Jadot comes from some of the finest vineyards in the world, a Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru that is often overlooked (La Garenne), and is capable of aging over 15 years. Welcome to the world of age-worthy whites! Its aromas of ripe pear, roasted apples, floral, and earthy notes pair well with shellfish and seafood. If I can sip on this in front of my apartment window AC unit, I’ll be a happy camper even in this heat.

Aromas of ripe pear and roasted apples mingle with both floral and subtle earth notes. Expansive on the palate and with a very long finish.
Food Match
Ideal with any fine seafood or shellfish, especially after the wine has achieved several years of aging.
