Day #[wpdts-day-of-year start=”post-created”] of the year.

Chateau d Aqueria Tavel Rosé

On a warm Thursday afternoon in the summer there is nothing better than opening a particularly pink bottle of rosé. Chateau d’Aqueria Tavel Rosé is a deliciously dark rosé made in a deliberate multistep process that includes bleeding, the direct press, then multiple stages of blending. Initially, the grapes are bled and a light pink juice is created. To get the additional pink color, the musk is added back to the juice and the mixture is put through the direct press. The additional skin contact is what allows the wine to take on a darker hue, contrary to the light colored rosé wines produced in the nearby region of Provence. If you’re looking for a little rosé variation, reach for a bottle of this Tavel Rosé. Its particularly full-bodied nature will be a surprise to your palate and might just knock your Thursday socks off.
