Day #[wpdts-day-of-year start=”post-created”] of the year.

Louis Jadot Pouilly-Fuissé

I am looking forward to tonight’s dinner with a bottle of Maison Louis Jadot Pouilly-Fuissé chilling in my fridge and bone-in pork chops marinating. I love the taste of charcoal-broiled anything; however, living in an apartment, I have to resort to my trusty cast iron grill or skillet to create some of that summertime BBQ at home. My prep is simple; rub the chops with some herbs de Provence, a dash of salt, drizzle of grapeseed oil, and refrigerate for an hour or longer. Fresh corn on the grill is an easy and tasty side for these chops, and since you will have the grill on, why not? When ready to cook, let the chops come up to room temp. Heat the grill on high and sizzle these babies for two to three minutes on each side until golden brown and a little charred. I don’t buy the thickest cut pork chops for this method of grilling because I want them done quickly and to remain crisp on the outside and juicy inside. Let them rest for 5 minutes, pop the bottle of Pouilly-Fuissé (if you haven’t done that already while cooking like me), and enjoy this perfect pairing – Bon appétit
