It’s National Chocolate-covered anything day! This time of year, there is nothing better than making deliciously decadent chocolate treats for friends and family. I am going to turn on the classic holiday tunes and get to work creating my aunt’s famous dark chocolate peanut butter balls, white and milk chocolate dipped pretzels and fruit, and yummy cookies. And since I’ll be sampling while I bake (who doesn’t?), I’ll sip a chilled glass of the Taylor Fladgate First Estate Reserve Porto, perfect for chocolate pairings and the season.

Tasting Notes

This sweet wine shows fresh, rich black cherry and cassis aromas. On the palate, it has a well-knit structure, with a velvety, luscious mouthfeel and smooth tannins.

Food Match

Delicious as an after-dinner drink on its own, this wine also pairs well with desserts made from chocolate or berries. Made to be consumed immediately, without further aging.
