Chateau La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc

The final Friday after a long, chilly month calls for something special. Let’s escape to thoughts of warm breezes and junk food on the beach. It is National Corn chip day after all, so start your evening with some salty snacks and a seriously fantastic wine. Chateau La Nerthe Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 2019 has elegant layers, for a relaxing weekend to come. Believe me when I say that a fine wine like this will pair perfectly with your salty corn chip of choice.

40% Grenache Blanc, 34% Roussanne, 20% Clairette, 6% Bourboulenc

Tasting Notes

Pale lemon yellow in color with aromas of stone fruit (peach, apricot) and white flowers on the nose. On the palate there is a nice complexity with notes of lime, pineapple and mango with a good balance between acidity and fleshiness. This is an elegant and well-integrated wine. The finish is expressive and lingering with pronounced mineral notes

Food Match

Fish in a buttery sauce, seafood, and white meats especially veal.
