St. Francis Winery & Vineyards
celebrating 11 years of Certified sustainability practices
The Ultimate Holiday Wine Guide: St Francis Old Vines Zinfandel is a perfect bottle for this Thanksgiving and beyond: “Fruit from 50 – 100 year old vineyards in Sonoma County goes into this ebulliently fruity California red. It tastes like spiced boysenberries with a dash of cracked black pepper, and though it’s a big wine, it’s beautifully balanced.” – Food and Wine Nov. 2024

For over 50 years, St. Francis Wines have reflected the finest mountain and valley vineyards in Sonoma County. Winery founder Joe Martin fell in love with Sonoma Valley and established St. Francis Vineyard in 1971, planting 22 acres of Chardonnay and the first 60 acres of Merlot in Sonoma Valley.
Today, Winemakers Katie Madigan and Chris Louton, along with Vineyard Director Jake Terrell and Assistant Winemaker Laiza Vieira Riedl, continue the long tradition of delicious wines from Sonoma County grapes, farmed from more than 400 acres of Certified Sustainable vineyards in Sonoma Valley and Russian River Valley, each with varying compositions of loam, clay, and volcanic soils.

Cabernet Sauvignon
Lively and expressive, this Cabernet shows off layered aromatics and rich flavors. Dark red fruits, wild berries and black cherry notes are complemented with spicy accents of clove, licorice and a bit of ground espresso bean. The concentrated flavors and smooth tannins are balanced with a thread of acidity for a long, juicy finish.

Pinot Noir
This bright, medium-bodied Pinot Noir shows off an abundance of red cherry and baking spice aromas followed by a burst of flavors with notes of pomegranate, strawberry preserves, fresh raspberry and black tea. This expressive wine has a lengthy finish with a note of toasted nut and orange zest.
