Day #[wpdts-day-of-year start=”post-created”] of the year.
Bodega Norton Malbec D.O.C.
It’s midway through the Holiday shopping season and if you’re like me, you’ve quickly run out of gift ideas. While I’ve been desperately scratching my head for ideas for my brother’s new girlfriend and my roommate’s sister (who apparently already got me something???) I’m going to my default… the gift of wine. Even when someone is new to wine, I always think it’s safe to get them an Argentinian Malbec, because it’s delightful, and they might not know much about Malbec if they’re used to certain California porch pounders. Thus, Bodega Norton Malbec DOC will be ordered by the half case, with a series of $2.00 gift bags. Ho-Ho-Ho!
ORIGIN
Lujan de Cuyo, Argentina
Grapes
Malbec
Tasting Notes
Deep red in color with violet hues. Aromas feature ripe red fruits and black pepper spice with friendly tannins on the palate, and long, well-rounded structure and finish.
Food Match
Pair with rich flavors like braised meats, osso bucco, mushroom sauces, and sharp, nutty cheeses.
