Day #[wpdts-day-of-year start=”post-created”] of the year.

Chateau La Nerthe Les Cassagnes Côtes-du-Rhône Rosé

While people might turn their nose down a packing a lunch, in favor of hitting up a local chain or a favorite cafeteria, I’ve been packing a lunch since the day I started working. While it can be fun to go out to lunch, I’ve always been on a budget and packing a lunch helps me to save money and keep my diet on track. My lunch of choices is always a mixed green salad with, vegetables, sliced apples and tuna. While tuna might not be everyone’s favorite smell in a small office setting (apologies to my coworkers throughout my career) it’s so healthy and seriously delicious. In these work from home days, who’s to tell you not to pack a lunch and pack a wine and enjoy an hour outside. Do as the French do, an enjoy a light, refreshing rose along with your Tupperware salad. My tuna salad goes perfectly with Chateau La Nerthe Les Cassagnes Côtes-du-Rhône Rosé. It’s a perfect lunch wine due to its lower alcohol content and fruity characteristics. As the day’s are getting warmer, it’s time you started taking those well-deserved lunch breaks again. So, use the locator below and do as I (and the French) do, pack a healthy lunch, grab this rose, and head outside for an hour of you time!

ORIGIN

Côtes du Rhône, France

Grapes

Cinsault, Grenache Noir, Grenache Blanc, Mourvedre

CHateau la nerthe rose

Tasting Notes

The color is pale pink fuchsia, very bright. The nose is frank, lively, expressive, on white flowers and citrus fruits (pink grapefruit). The palate is fresh and the gooseberry meets again the grapefruit. A wine of great freshness and easy pleasure!

A versatile companion to many styles of cuisine. Enjoy with cheeses and fruit or pair with salmon dishes, poultry in light to medium weight sauces, and fresh salads.
