Day #[wpdts-day-of-year start=”post-created”] of the year.

Château La Nerthe Les Cassagnes Côtes-du-Rhône Villages

Have you gotten into Côtes-du-Rhône wines yet? Add it to your shopping list if not. This French wine region straddling the Rhône River has been popular for centuries. In the southern Rhône, where Château La Nerthe Les Cassagnes is from, you will find mostly reds (also rosés, rarely whites) made from blends of up to 21 different grapes. The takeaway here is that these wines are fruit-forward, ready to drink upon release, bold, smooth, and delicious, and if you bring a bottle of this to the next outdoor firepit gathering, everyone will be impressed with your good taste.

Tasting Notes

In appearance, this blend has a dark, profound color. On the nose it delivers waves of clean red berry fruit flavors along with some perfumed notes and sweet spices. The finish is very delicate and balanced. Overall, this is a medium to full-bodied wine with a very silky texture.
