Louis Jadot Chevalier-Montrachet Les Demoiselles Grand Cru

White wines can’t age, you say? They’re not as “serious” as red wines? Whoever told you that clearly hasn’t delved into the world of Burgundy. This very small Grand Cru from the Côte de Beaune, at the top of the slope where Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet meet, can age in the bottle for 15-20 years. You’ll want to lay out the white tablecloth and your most elaborate fish-based meal to enjoy this rare treasure.

Tasting Notes

This Grand Cru is produced in limited quantities, and sometimes equals or surpasses the great Chardonnay Grand Cru Le Montrachet in its concentration and complexity. It offers a profound fragrance of toast, honey and white fruit. It is full-bodied and powerful, with a long finish. Made to age.

Food Match

Serve with turbot, monkfish, scallops, lobster, white truffle pasta and delicate meats such as braised veal and poultry.
