Day #[wpdts-day-of-year start=”post-created”] of the year.
Louis Jadot Pouilly-Fuissé
Could not. Put. Down. I could just as easily binge-read this book as do a Netflix marathon night, and be just as entertained. “Then She Was Gone” is a page-turning thriller with likeable characters that are nuanced, twists, and plenty of ominous revelations that divulge enough to make you think you’ve solved something—but aren’t sure, so need to keep reading! I chose a wine that was just as easy to keep drinking as the book was to read: Louis Jadot Pouilly-Fuissé. The fresh citrus notes and satisfying minerality of this Burgundy Chardonnay make it a breeze to drink, but the complexity and fullness remind you to pause, enjoy, and not consume the entire bottle as you sip and read.
