Day #[wpdts-day-of-year start=”post-created”] of the year.

Louis Jadot Steel Chardonnay

I’m a sucker for a chardonnay with expressive minerality. I know the California ‘butter balls’ are popular among consumers, but I really believe that Chardonnay is best showcased with limited oak contact. Louis Jadot’s Steel Chardonnay is aged entirely in stainless steel to highlight the varietals true characteristics. This tasty wine is a classic expression and is a great old world example of how Chardonnay tastes without the standardized oaky, malolactic fermentation influences.

ORIGIN

Burgundy, France

Grapes

Chardonnay

Tasting Notes

This wine shows high-toned aromas of citrus, mandarin orange, white flower, pear and apple, with flinty minerality. Surprisingly concentrated and balanced for such a young wine, the flavors on the palate are at once delicate, powerful and rich.

Poultry, shellfish, sushi, grilled tuna or swordfish, and salads.
