Day #[wpdts-day-of-year start=”post-created”] of the year.

Maison Louis Jadot Pinot Noir Bourgogne

It’s a hard grape to grow…thin-skinned, temperamental, ripens early…it’s not a survivor like Cabernet, which can grow anywhere and thrive even when it’s neglected. No, Pinot needs constant care and attention…it can grow in these really specific, little, tucked away corners of the world. And only the most patient and nurturing of growers can do it, really. Only somebody who takes time to understand Pinot’s potential can then coax it into its fullest expression.” -Miles from the movie Sideways Pinot Noir, in my opinion, is one of the hardest wines to make great, however, when you find a good quality Pinot that is affordable, it will make you want to sing and dance. Louis Jadot Pinot Noir from Bourgogne does just that!

This medium-bodied wine is harmonious, with forward, plump fruit and a silky texture balanced by gentle tannins and elegant structure. The very typical Pinot aromas and flavors of red cherries and wild strawberries are complemented by a delicious, lingering finish.

Food Match

Pairs with red meats, roasts, pork tenderloin and soft cheeses.
