Day #[wpdts-day-of-year start=”post-created”] of the year.

Montes Cherub Rosé

I often spend time debating the greatest variation of potatoes and go back and forth between different potato varietals. While Vesselina Stoyanova’s ‘Mama’s potato’ recipe might be my favorite roasted potato recipe in existence, no potato variation has ever touched my heart like French fries. Salty, seasoned, baked or fried – I love fries any way I can get my hands on them. However, the type of fry, shall designate my preference of wine when selecting a perfect pairing. When it comes to food and wine, it’s always best to pick pairings based on mutual intensity levels. For example, when making my lemon rosemary baked sweet potato fries, I tend to pair them with a wine of moderate intensity, like Vina Montes Cherub Rosé. The rosé’s slight sweetness will match the sugar levels of the sweet potato, and the floral bouquet will align well with the aromatic spices I use to decorate my fries. Give this easy combination a try and enjoy more potatoes and wine in your life!

Tasting Notes

The nose is very intense with tropical aromas of pineapple and mango over a layer of fresh raspberries, sour cherries, and pomegranate. A certain floral notes confers a perfumed and cheerful finish. The palate is fresh and well balance with juicy acidity and good breadth that lends a sweet sensation.
