Day #[wpdts-day-of-year start=”post-created”] of the year.
St. Francis Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc
I still shop the “continental” way even after decades in Brooklyn, NY. I love making the rounds every Saturday and stop off in the neighborhood’s small shops; Paisanos for the best meat cuts, Sahadi’s Imports for my European and Middle-Eastern goodies, the Korean fruit and veggies market, and last but not least, my local Wine Shop!
Today, I salute my local heroes, the small business owners, on National Mom and Pop Business Owners Day, with a lovely bottle of St. Francis Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc. Over the weekend, I did my rounds and picked up some nice veal cutlets, fresh asparagus, and some fresh cheeses, which will pair amazingly with the Sauvignon Blanc. The fresh citrus and grassy notes of the Sauvignon Blanc compliments the asparagus and lightly breaded veal cutlets. So, go out there and say thank you by supporting your local mom and pop stores and restaurants – Cheers!
