Day #[wpdts-day-of-year start=”post-created”] of the year.

St. Francis Winery & Vineyards Sonoma County Old Vines Zinfandel

I’m making a motion to kickstart Treat-Yourself Tuesdays. I’ve argued this before and will maintain my position, Tuesday’s are the worst days of the week. Commonly mistaken for Mondays, far from the memories or sight of the weekend, and there’s no football. To get through the longest day of the week, we need to take action. Treat-Yourself Tuesdays will give us the reprieve that we so desperately need, inspiring people across the country to get a nice bottle of wine, cook (or order) a fabulous dinner, and maybe get a pedicure after the work day. I’ll be treating myself to a bottle of St. Francis Old Vines Zinfandel, because it’s a luxurious wine with a hearty 15.2% alcohol. The memories I’ll make drinking this wine and enjoying homemade steak frites are the encouragement needed to get me though the remainder of the week!

Tasting Notes

This bright, lively wine showcases an abundance of berry flavors and aromas. Red raspberry, wild blackberry and a touch of cranberry are balanced with spicy notes of anise and cinnamon. This medium bodied Zinfandel lingers for a long, smooth finish.
