Even if it is Friday the 13th, and it is it is scorching hot, close to Hades’ home temps in NYC, I feel pretty lucky to have the day off, so I plan to kick back this evening with my favorite horror flick, “Silence of the Lambs,” and the perfect bottle of Chianti Classico Riserva from Tenuta di Nozzole: wine chilled to cellar temperature, legally obtained Bell & Evans chicken livers pan-fried in butter, steamed and herbed farmers market fava beans, et voila my Friday the 13th is looking pretty fantastic. This incredibly well-balanced, fruit-forward, and earthy Chianti is the perfect mate for my meal. So I will skip inviting Judas (the 13th guest) to dinner and pray that my good fortume remains intact! What are your plans for tonight? – Salute!
