The addition of port wine adds warmth and depth, creating a luxurious sipping experience that feels perfectly suited for chilly winter evenings. port coffee martini recipe

Ingredients

2 oz espresso (freshly brewed and cooled)

1 oz port wine (preferably ruby or tawny)

1 oz vodka

1/2 oz coffee liqueur (such as Kahlúa)

Ice

Coffee beans or a dusting of cocoa powder (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Brew and cool the espresso: Start by brewing a fresh shot of espresso and letting it cool to room temperature. This will ensure the cocktail isn’t watered down when mixed with ice.

2. Prepare your shaker: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the cooled espresso, port wine, vodka, and coffee liqueur.

3. Shake well: Shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds. This step creates the creamy foam on top that makes a martini extra indulgent.

4. Strain into a glass: Strain the mixture into a chilled martini glass, letting the foam naturally form on the surface.

5. Garnish and serve: Garnish with three coffee beans for a classic touch or a light dusting of cocoa powder for extra decadence.
