Day #[wpdts-day-of-year start=”post-created”] of the year.
Bodega Norton Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon
February 8th celebrates national potato lovers day, and you have never met a potato lover quite as enthusiastic as myself. While I think French fries are an essential food group and a salt and vinegar chips are my lifelong love affair; I eat a steamed, baked or microwaved potato 6/7 days a week. Potatoes, when cooked without additives, are HIGHLY nutritious. They’re a great source of fiber, potassium, a melody of vitamins… not to mention a source of protein, with absolutely no fat. If baked or home roasted ‘tatters’ aren’t a weekly part of your menu, they should be. Try a red wine roasted potato with rosemary, olive oil, and white onions. Roast your potatoes in a few splashes of Norton Reserva Cabernet sauvignon, then save the bottle for a pre-dinner aperitif and a perfect entre companion.
