This is a Cru Beaujolais assembled from three important vineyards within the Morgon appellation. Vines grow here in both pink granite and also blue Diorite. These conditions tend to result in wines with darker fruit notes, more tannins, and bolder structure. All fruit is manually harvested, rigorously sorted, fermented with natural yeasts, and aged in concrete vats and oak barrels for 10 months. With hints of clove and blackberry, this medium weight red wine has a bold presence and long finish. The tannins are chewy and will refine with a bit of age, while offering a nice complement to protein-based cuisines.

This was a very warm and early vintage with a slight lack of moisture which reduced the harvest volumes while ensuring complexity and phenolic ripeness.
A perfect partner for charcuterie, pasta in a rich cream sauce, pizza and pretty much any meat.
