St. Francis Sonoma County Chardonnay
It’s National Dumpling Day! Dumplings (or in Chinese ‘Jiaozi’) are a treat! You can enjoy them a plethora of ways steamed, boiled, or fried, filled with pork, seafood or vegetables with a variety of herbs and spices. My favorite are steamed pork and cabbage dumplings which pair delightfully with St. Francis Chardonnay. The wine is crisp with green apple and juicy pear notes that works well with the filling. The medium mouthfeel and creamy texture of the wine plays up the doughy mouthfeel of the dumpling shell.
