Day #[wpdts-day-of-year start=”post-created”] of the year.
Taylor Fladgate 10 Year Old Tawny Porto
I like to cheat on my ‘diet’ at least once a week and get dessert after dinner. Pecan Pie is my victim of choice tonight alongside Taylor Fladgate’s 10 Year Old Tawny Porto. I honestly should start incorporating Port into my dinner routine because I’m pretty sure it pairs well with just about anything. We’re about to start breaking rules here folks, Port for dinner AND dessert. Finally, a movement I can get behind.
With an intense amber tawny color, the wine has sweet, elegant apricot flavors, delicate wood notes and rich, seductive aromas of mature fruit. Full-bodied and highly concentrated.
Food Match
Pairs well with figs, almonds, pecan pie, desserts made with coffee or caramel, and crème brûlée. It can also be served at the end of the meal with walnuts or dried fruit and it can be slightly chilled in the summer.
