Day #[wpdts-day-of-year start=”post-created”] of the year.

Tenute Silvio Nardi Brunello di Montalcino Manachiara DOCG

Winter Solstice: Saturnalia or Dies Natalis Solis Invicti, (the Birthday of the Unconquerable Sun) to the ancient Romans. Since prehistoric times, on the longest night of the year, people from different cultures have celebrated the metaphorical death and rebirth of the sun and renewal and promise of brighter days ahead. It is a time of reflection and rest, for both humans and mother earth. I cannot imagine a better way to mark Saturnalia than with a bottle of “Manachiara”, a single-vineyard Brunello di Montalcino from Tenute Silvio Nardi: “Manachiara” means “bright morning”, or the wine of the morning light. The wine is produced by handpicked grapes from some of the most ancient Sangiovese clones and crafted with love.
