Need help choosing a wine in the shop? Wine professionals are there to help! Don’t be afraid to ask…but yes, it can be intimidating. Here are some ways to approach the salesperson when they find you sweating in the rosé aisle:
- Give them a price range of what you’re willing to spend, or say your top number “or less.”
- Let them know of a few grapes, wines, or wine regions that you do know you like, and say you’d like something similar. Or if you’re trying to explore new regions, say so!
- One way to narrow down what you’re looking for is by telling the salesperson what you’ll be eating—they will welcome the challenge.
