Impressive and compelling, this Pinot epitomizes the best of Willamette Valley. Impeccably structured, this combines depth and grace with expressive raspberry, fresh violet and crushed stone accents that take on polish and richness on the lingering, savory finish. Drink now through 2032. 1,211 cases made.

This is Maison Louis Jadot’s first project in Oregon. This signature estate Pinot Noir is a pure expression of the dry-farmed Résonance Vineyard, planted on un-grafted rootstock in 1981. These Pinot Noir grapes were handpicked just steps from the Winery and hand-sorted upon arrival. During elevage, the juice is controlled with a light touch honed over 170 years of winemaking in Burgundy, boosting each vintage to achieve its most natural elegance and complexity. Résonance Vineyard Pinot Noir unveils the immense character, the “somewhereness” of this original site, within the Yamhill-Carlton AVA.
100% Pinot Noir
17 months in French oak barrels, 30% new
The beginning of 2019 was wet but warm. May and June were warmer than average, giving great weather conditions for the bloom in early June. Then the summer showed moderately cool conditions, with higher humidity. After a warm and dry August, and veraison on the middle of the month, a rapid cool down with significant precipitations in September slowed down the maturation. Juggling between rainfalls, we harvested our Pinot noir grapes from September 19th to October 2nd. Requiring a meticulous sorting, followed by a precise destemming, the grapes had a good and dynamic fermentation, revealing an elegant structure with delicate aromas.
The wine reveals a bright and pronounced garnet color, and a complex nose of black cherry, blueberry, raspberry, violet flower, and noble essences of wood. On the palate, the wine shows a beautiful structure, a powerful energy and perfect harmony with a delicate finish.
Pairs well with grilled or roasted red meats, game, and poultry.
