Day #[wpdts-day-of-year start=”post-created”] of the year.

Norton Barrel Select Red Blend

New Year’s Resolutions – we’ve all made them. While all are made in good faith, most are forgotten (if not abandoned entirely) by this time next year. In the past, I have been as guilty of this as anyone – firmly swearing by something in January only to discard it by March. However, I have remained firm in one belief since my high school days – don’t wait until New Year’s Day to make a necessary change. Year after year, I’d make a list of goals on December 31st, only to despair in June when I’d accomplished a fraction of what I’d set out to do. After going through this process several times over, I realized that I’d just been waiting for arbitrary times in the future to set goals for myself and act upon them. It may seem cliche, but the reason so many people know what Carpe Diem means is because it makes a lot of sense. However, before you “seize” anything in the new year, you should take the time to reflect with the Norton Barrel Select Red Blend, This powerful red is a mix of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Merlot and is harvested beneath the mountains of Mendoza, Argentina. It goes pairs well with roasted meats – roasted lamb and ribeye steaks in particular. As the great Emily Dickinson said, “Forever is composed of Now’s” – start your new adventure today with this great wine at your side.

Tasting Notes

This wine is characterized by its elegant balance between fruit and oak. On the nose, notes of dark berries and plums mix with warm spices and cedar. On the palate, the wine is full bodied and luscious, with a firm structure and delicate finish.
