DAYS LEFT OF NATIONAL SERVICE DOG MONTH
Celebrate this National Service Dog Month with St. Francis
and the Canine Companion Pros!
As you may know, St. Francis is the patron saint of animals
and the environment. In that tradition, St. Francis is proud to be a certified
sustainable winery that supports animal related causes, like Canine Companions.
For every bottle of St. Francis you purchase, we donate $1
to Canine Companions to help enhance the lives of people with disabilities.
Canine Companions provides highly trained service dogs at no charge. Since
2021, St. Francis has donated $300,000 to this worthy cause.
For over 50 years St. Francis wines have reflected the
finest mountain and valley vineyards in Sonoma County. Winery founder Joe
Martin fell in love with Sonoma Valley and established St. Francis Vineyard in
1971, planting 22 acres of Chardonnay and the first 60 acres of Merlot in
Sonoma Valley.
Today, winemakers Katie Madigan and Chris Louton, along with
viticulturist Jake Terrell, continues the long tradition of delicious wines
from Sonoma County grapes, farmed from more than 400 acres of Certified
Sustainable estate vineyards in Sonoma Valley and Russian River Valley, each
with varying compositions of loam, clay, and volcanic soils.
