National Garlic day celebrates one of my favorite root vegetables. Garlic, is one of those things like olive oil or wine… when you add it to a hot pan, some kind of magic happens. Minced, chopped, or grinded, this delightful vegetable makes any savory meal better, and unless you eat it fried as a whole (yes I do this and don’t judge me) you wont get terrible garlic breath. In the tradition of my ancestors, I like my garlic heavy meal with a serving of Italian wine like Tenuta La Fuga Brunello di Montalcino DOCG. When it comes to garlic or wine, (in my humble opinion) there’s never too much of a good thing.
