Day #[wpdts-day-of-year start=”post-created”] of the year.

Louis Jadot Chardonnay

Today, October 8th, is National Pierogi Day! This delectable dish comes from the culinary traditions of Eastern Europe, particularly Poland. While there are a number of unique derivations, a typical pierogi is comprised of dough wrapped dumpling-style with a filling (usually meat or potatoes) on the inside. It just so happens that pierogis pair particularly well with white wine – that’s where the Louis Jadot Chardonnay comes in. Grown in the fields of Bourgogne, this white will complement the soft texture of the pierogi’s dough. By the end of this meal, you’ll know how to say “delicious” in three languages!

Tasting Notes

Along with a lovely pale color, this wine has an expressive nose of medium intensity green apple, pear and crushed stone with floral notes. The palate brings forth bright, fresh, citrus fruits with slight tropical notes of apricots and pineapples. Expect balanced, fesh acidity and stony minerality that stems from its sunny southern birthplace.
