While I absolutely love a classic Cosmopolitan, I recently discovered that adding a splash of Ruby Port can really take it up a notch. It is the perfect transitional cocktail as it’s still fruity and fun, but it has a richer, more indulgent depth to it that is perfect for a Spring or Summer breezy night. A classic Cosmo is like the fun, vibrant younger sister while the Port Cosmo is the older, wiser, luxurious older sister. Both are absolutely delicious but are perfect for different occasions. Add this to your cocktail rotation for a refreshing twist on a timeless favorite.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Fonseca Bin 27 Ruby Port
- 1 oz Cointreau
- 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
- 1/4 oz cranberry juice
- Garnish: lime half wheel
Directions:
- Add all the ingredients to a shaker and fill with ice.
- Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Garnish with a lime half wheel.
