As a team that tastes hundreds of wines throughout the year,ย weโreย always discovering new styles, revisiting old favorites, and watching trends come and go. The world of wine is constantly evolving, and we love seeing how innovation, tradition, and curiosity shape what we pour into our glasses. From sparkling wines beyond Champagne to the revival of Lambrusco, these trends remind us that wine isย meant to be enjoyed โ not overcomplicated.ย Hereโsย whatย weโreย loving right now.ย

Pairing High End Wine with “Low End” Foods
Mackenzie Lesher
I love the trend of pairing high end wines with โlow endโ foods! This practice has been around for a little while now, but there was a time when Champagne with fried chicken or Chablis with chips would have had wine-snobs clutching their pearls. I love this specific trend because it encourages the elevation ofย the everydayย experience and rules that youย donโtย necessarily need a grand reason to treat yourself to a nice bottle. Youย donโtย need some elaborate spread of caviar or foie gras at a fancy restaurantย in order toย justify enjoying a particular glass of wine. Some days you just want to enjoy a glass of Champagne and KFC from the comfort of your couch โ andย thatโsย ok!ย

Bubbles for any Occasion
Anna Brenny
My favorite wine trend has to beย bubbles for any occasion.ย While bubbles are anย obvious choice for parties and celebrations,ย I believe bubblesย are too delicious not to enjoy all times of the year.ย With so much variation, ranging from Champagne to Prosecco, Cava, and more, there are so many delicious options to try.ย We have the classics such as Champagne made from the traditional method in France, Prosecco made from the Charmat method in Italy,ย andย Cava made from the traditional method in Spain. However, there are so many underrated regions for bubbles, with Mendoza, Argentina being a new favorite.ย Alta Vista has fabulous sparklingย thatย isย inexpensiveย yetย soย delicious.ย There are so many fabulous bubbly options from regions all across the globe.ย So why limit yourself toย sparklingย just on special occasions?ย

Chilling Red Wines
Allison Hilborn
A wine trend that I have become a fan of recently is chilling red wines. My palate is slowly coming around to red wines, and I have realized that, when chilled โespecially lighter reds like Pinot Noir โit is more enjoyable for me to drink. When chilled, the aromas that might be masked by heat, such as red berries orย spice, areย instead enhanced. The acidity/ tanninsย also taste less intense, and the wine feelsย overall more balanced.ย Ultimately, aย light chill makes red wines more approachable, especially for casual occasions, and can be paired with a wide range of foods. It puts a modern twist on traditional serving styles.ย

The Comeback of Lambrusco
Hailey Giordano
One of my favorite wine trends making a well-deserved comeback is Lambrusco. Not the syrupy sweet version many people remember from decades past. Todayโs Lambrusco is fresh, vibrant, and incredibly food-friendly, and Iย canโtย get enough of it. A standout for me is Medici Ermete Concerto, a dry, single-vineyard Lambrusco that delivers deep berry flavors, a touch of earthiness, and lively bubbles that make every sip feel like a celebration.ย Itโsย my go-to for a chilled glass of red bubbles or, better yet, as the base for a Lambrusco spritz, just add a splash of citrus liqueur and a slice of orange for a fun twist.ย Itโsย playful, unexpected, and perfect for fall entertaining. Lambrusco proves that not all trends have to be new- sometimes the best ones are just waiting for their comeback moment.ย

Sparkling Wines Beyond Champagne
Lauren James
My favorite wine trendย right now is sparklingย winesย beyond champagne. Whileย Champagne will always be myย go-to bubbly, itย isnโtย always cost effective. Instead, when I am in the mood for some bubbly with my dinnerย or any other occasion, I am reaching for Cava.ย Like Champagne,ย Cava is made using the traditional method.ย This makes the wine feel more elevated than a traditional prosecco. The Cava I have been loving is by Poemaย Cava.ย Their Organic Pura hasย clean, fruityย aromas withย withย flavors of acacia blossoms, citrus, pear, and red apples.ย Next time you are in the mood for some bubbly, try out Cava!ย

As trends evolve and new discoveriesย emerge, one thingย remainsย constant: the joy of exploring the endless world of wine. No matter your taste or occasion,ย thereโsย always something exciting waiting in the next glass.ย
