Valentine’s Day is almost here and it’s the perfect occasion to have a delicious Cava cocktail in your hand! Caitlin Bletzacker, @charcuteriecait, has put together this sweet and bubbly cocktail that is perfect for any Valentine’s Day celebration. Regardless if you’re spending the evening with your special someone, a friend, or celebrating by yourself, these cocktails are sure to sweeten your holiday.
Recipe:
1. Make fresh strawberry purée. To do this, first wash and cut your strawberries. Then, add 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar together in a pot. Bring to a boil. Once the sugar is dissolved, add the strawberries. Muddle the strawberries in the pot and mix together.
2. Pour the syrup into a serving dish. If you don’t like pulp in your drinks, be sure to strain this or transfer to a blender to blend together for a quick minute. Let cool in the fridge for an hour.
3. Pour the strawberry syrup into a glass. Top with Poema Cava ! If you are feeling wild, add vodka in your glass as well!
4. Enjoy!
