Q. What does “cava” translate to?

A. Cava translates to “wine cellar,” where this Spanish sparkling wine is stored in pupitres (A-frame racks used for riddling sparkling wines).

The other answers are wrong because…

It does, of course, have an equivalent in English!

In Spanish, “cave” is cueva.

We’re not perfect, but we didn’t misspell “lava;” Cava is a delicious, traditional method sparkling wine (like Champagne) that we wood never misspell!

And the popular CAVA chain has small cups, but they don’t even serve Cava! Misleading, right?
